Travel to Genoa
By car
Genoa is effectively connected to all of Europe by a highway network. If you come with two or more persons, it might be cheaper and easier way to come from France, Switzerland, Austria or Germany. Once in Genoa, it is recommended that you leave your car in a car park (we will help) and travel around the city by public transport (easy) or on foot (easy and rewarding).
By train
Italian railways are cheap and comfortable (as long as you always book your seat).
By ship
There is a very comfortable and fast ferry from Barcelona.
By plane
Genoa has direct connections to ::
A shuttle from the airport serves the train station, from where it is easy to reach the recommended hotels and the conference venue.
In addition, many low cost airlines fly- to Pisa. From there, it is only a 2-hour train journey to Genoa.
Another alternative is to fly to Milan (Malpensa and Linate for intercontinental
and many international flights, Orio al Serio for low cost airlines). Generally
, the journey from the airport to Milan central railway station and from
there to Genoa by train will take approximately 3 hours.
